Brooks saddles supporting cyclists all over the world

Brooks b17 is a legend among cycle tourists because of it comfort, but equally as a source of pain.
The parts of you that touch the bike are the most important on a long multi day ride because those are the bits that will hurt if it not right.
Hands, feet and most importantly your backside. Hours of sore bum and saddle sores are not fun and quickly stop a ride for days of recovery and embarrassing creams.
Many people seem to need a huge amount of time to ‘break in’ their Brooks but for me it was pretty instant, which is a relief.
Unlike most saddles the Brooks is a Leather saddle that acts more like a hammock than a cushion, and over time it slowly moulds to a prefect fit to your backside.
I have had my current brown b17 for about 3 years now and has carried me from Lands End to John O'Groats as well as countless miles of commuting to work so it feels like a comfortable friend.
There have been others that I have used but after 8 years the support rails broke. One of the nicest things about the Brooks saddles is that they can be sent back to the factory and they will repair them so the precious leather comfort you have lovingly shaped can be preserved.
